DMCS Alums Shine in Judson College Choir
The Judson Choir of Judson University (Chicago area) presented a wide variety of music with excellent vocalization in a special Secondary DMCS chapel on March 12, 2008. The sound was rich and full. It was great for our junior high and high school students to observe college students who are on fire for Jesus Christ. One piece even featured DMC students who wanted to sing with the choir on the floor of the gym (“He Never Failed Me Yet”). The music was all Christ-centered, and the DMC audience was blessed that two of the featured soloists were alumni Nancy Greiman (Class of 2007) and Judson Choir President Josh Hoegh (Class of 2004). What an honor that Nancy, as a first-year student, was selected to solo during this number. I thought Josh had a great voice when he was in high school, but his piece, “Somebody’s Praying,” was absolutely superb. More importantly, the faces of both Josh and Nancy shined with the light of Jesus Christ! Nancy had the opportunity to talk about transitioning to the college experience, and she spoke very positively about her Des Moines Christian experience. Mr. Steddom also called alumnus Megan Kehoe (Class of 2006) forward to speak about her positive experiences at Judson. Praise God for a strong Christ-centered university like Judson and for the ministry of the Judson University Choir!

2003:
I am currently working as a Software Tester for the Iowa Foundation for
Medical Care. I am now married with 1 boy (4 years old) and with another
on the way (due date July 25). My wife is currently attending Central
College in Pella and is 3 semesters away from having a degree in
linguistics and is looking into teaching ESL. We will be moving back into
the Des Moines Metro (Johnston) rather soon and I will send another update
then.

1999:
Steven and Christa Myers are proud to announce the arrival of their second
baby boy born December 18, 2007. Trenton Dean Myers was welcomed home by
big brother Braxton Mark Myers. Braxton was born on September 12, 2006.
They reside in Des Moines.

Michael Ives has graduated from seminary and was called to serve a congregation in Rhode Island in 2006. He is married to Aubrey (Myers), class of ’97.
Class of 1997:
Jenna Arnold-Epperson married Micah Epperson on June 10, 2001. A beautiful baby girl, Isabella Katelyn, joined their family on March 12, 2006, weighing in at 9lb. 15oz.
Class of 1999:
Jason Smith writes, “I graduated from Central Missouri State University in 2004 and was married in June 2005 to Ashley Passick of Des Moines. Since then, we have moved to the Minneapolis area where I work for a printing company and Ashley is teaching in the Eden Prairie, MN district. We have a beautiful daughter named McKinzie born on April 6, 2007.
