Report of the Major Actions Taken During the DMCS Board Meeting of October 16, 2006

President Grizzle called the Open Session meeting to order in the Elementary Teachers’ Workroom.
Eleven (11) of the 12 Directors were in attendance, representing a quorum.
Dr. Bob Stouffer, Superintendent, was also in attendance.
Director Terry Williams opened the meeting in prayer.
The Board adjourned to Closed Session.
Eleven (11) of the 12 Directors were in attendance, representing a quorum.
Dr. Stouffer and Secondary Principal John Steddom were also in attendance.
The Board approved Closed Session minutes for the meeting on October 2, 2006.
The Board approved Ron Eklund as a Secondary Substitute Teacher.
The Board approved all of the following coaches for the 2006-2007 winter sports season:
Dave Stubbs, Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach
Michael Cowell, Junior Varsity Boys Basketball Coach
Tim VanderPloeg, Volunteer Assistant Varsity Boys Basketball Coach
Jon Mumm, Ninth Grade Boys Basketball Coach
John Jones, Seventh Grade Boys Basketball Coach
Kevin Klein, Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach
Rob Newton, Junior Varsity Girls Basketball Coach
Dennis Gonnerman, Eighth Grade Girls Basketball Coach
The Board adjourned from Closed Session and reconvened in Open Session.

The Board approved Open Session minutes for the meeting on October 2, 2006.
The Board authorized Dr. Stouffer, Mr. Steddom, and Elementary Principal Cade Lambert as authorized signers for draws against new bank accounts at Iowa State Bank.
All Board policies listed on the agenda were tabled due to time constraints.
Director Doug Cappel closed the meeting in prayer.
The meeting was adjourned.
