Report of Major Actions Taken During the August 20, 2007 DMC Board Meeting

President Dan Grizzle called the meeting to order in the Elementary Teachers’ Workroom.

Nine (9) of the 10 Directors were present, representing a quorum.

Dr. Bob Stouffer, Superintendent, was also present.

Dr. Stouffer agreed to serve as Recording Secretary.

The Board adjourned to Closed Session.

The Board approved Closed Session minutes for the Board meeting on August 6, 2007.

The Board approved Marjorie Fickes as High School Spanish Instructor for the 2007-2008 school year.

The Board approved Paige Thiner as seventh grade volleyball coach and Dennis Gonnerman as eighth grade volleyball coach for the 2007 season.

The Board adjourned from Closed Session to Open Session.

The Board approved Open Session minutes for the Board meeting on August 6, 2007.

Scott Erickson, Chair of the Board Nominating Committee, gave an update about the process for appointing Association members to the two open Board seats.

Todd Toulouse, Chair of the Safety and Security Task Force, gave an update about the progress of the task force.

The Board read 14 Board policies.

Doug Cappel closed the meeting in prayer.

The meeting was adjourned.
