Summary Report of Major Actions Taken During the September 17, 2007 DMC Board Meeting

President Dan Grizzle called the meeting to order in the Elementary Teachers’ Workroom.

Ten (10) of the 12 Directors were in attendance, representing a quorum.

Dr. Bob Stouffer, Superintendent; Cade Lambert, Elementary Principal; and John Steddom, Secondary Principal were also in attendance.

At President Grizzle’s request, Todd Toulouse opened the meeting in prayer.

The Board adjourned to Closed Session.

The Board approved Closed Session minutes of the Board meeting on September 4, 2007. 

The Board approved the following new employees:

• Chad Davidson, Secondary Substitute Teacher
• Michael Gossen, Junior High Assistant Football Coach
• Betsy Lundy, Elementary Associate and Secondary Lunchroom Associate
• Libby Birdwell, Elementary Associate
• Nancy Johnson, Secondary Lunchroom Associate
• Jacquelyn Gardiner, Elementary and Secondary Substitute Teacher
• Eileen VanKooten-Schmidt, Substitute Associate
• Carol Dexter, Piano Teacher

The Board approved Open Session minutes of the Board meeting on September 4, 2007.

The Board reviewed 26 Board policies.

Due to time constraints, the Board tabled the reading of 7 Board policies listed on the agenda.

At President Grizzle’s request, Terry Williams closed the meeting in prayer.

The meeting was adjourned.
