Physical Education
Philosophy Statement: Physical Education is that area which centers on man and his physical development. After an individual accepts Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, the individual should maintain and develop his body to the glory of God. Physical Education focuses on increasing student’s knowledge and affecting student’s attitudes and behaviors relative to physical activities. Through the study of many physical activities, students will be encouraged to incorporate some form of physical activity into their lifestyle.
Course Objective: The Sr. High physical education program is designed to encourage maximum participation in physical activity and also to prepare students for activities they can use for their own lifetime physical fitness. Some of the activities currently offered in P.E. are softball, flag football, indoor and outdoor soccer, basketball, team handball, eclipse ball, volleyball, resistance training, fitness, tennis, Frisbee activities, indoor floor hockey, badminton, ping pong, bowling, cross country skiing, archery, and in-line skating.
