Des Moines Christian School June 2004 Following an exhaustive process involving a planning committee, focus groups, Board oversight, and much prayer, the DMCS Board of Directors unanimously approved a strategic plan for the school at the conclusion of the 2003-2004 school year. Each year, the Board will measure proposed initiatives against the strategic plan; the Directors, administrative team members, and future action team members will work to realize this vision for DMCS. Several documents are available on this website: 1. A new "context diagram" which sets the context of strategic planning 2. Reaffirmation of the unchanged Statement of Faith 3. A new Biblical worldview document 4. The unchanged Mission Statement 5. A Vision document which fine-tuned earlier DMCS documents without compromising the integrity of the Word of God 6. A new "constituency" document 7. And a newly worded "Core Values" document, again consistent with the truth of God's Word Constituency Definition: Those whom DMCS provides with educational services. Statement: The Des Moines Christian School exists to serve the education needs of families who adhere to the DMCS Statement of Faith because God has ordained the family as the foundation for mankind. Parents have been entrusted with the nurture, instruction, and discipline of their children. |
