Varsity Boy’s Track
2007 Season 

Head Coach: Dennis Gonnerman 

The 2007 boy’s track team had a successful year finishing fourth or higher in four of their regular season meets. They also finished fourth in the WCAC Conference Meet and third in the District Meet. This year’s team also set four new school records:

·        Shuttle Hurdle Relay  A.J Woodyard, Nathan Troll, Cole Lemon, and Bobby Baehr  1:10.84

·        4x100 Meter Relay  Josh Arment, Travis VanderLinden, Ryan Wilson, and Tom Kostek  44.77

·        4x200 Meter Relay  Josh Arment, Travis VanderLinden, Ryan Wilson, and Tom Kostek  1:33.76

·        High Jump  Tom Kostek  6’ 

The 4x100 and 4x200 Relay Teams along with Tom Kostek in the High Jump  and 100 Meter Dash qualified for the State Meet, with the 4x100 Relay finishing in 8^th place. 

Tom Kostek and Ryan Wilson will be key losses for next year’s squad. However, with everyone else coming back, the 2008 tracksters will be a team to be watched.

Varsity Girls’ Track
2007 Season 

 Head Coach: Cindy Kostek 

The 2007 girl’s track team had a great year. There were 19 letter winners on the team. The team also finished as Team Champion of the Hawkeye Relays.

 There were seven new school records set this year:

·        100 Meter Hurdles  Lindsay Lettow  14.76

·        Long Jump  Lindsay Lettow 17’7½”

·        High Jump  Lindsay Lettow  5’3”

·        Discus  Sonja Harris  95’3”

·        4x100 Relay  Leah Kostek, Katelyn Kostek, Shauneica McClish, and Rachel Garner 54.08

·        4x200 Relay  Shauneica McClish, Rachenda Rockwell, Katelyn Kostek, and Rachel Garner  1:53.34

·        Shuttle Hurdle Relay  Leah Kostek, Katelyn Kostek, Kami Marks, and Lindsay Lettow  1:06.80

 The team also included WCAC Conference Champions and District Champions Lindsay Lettow (High Jump, Long Jump and 100 Meter Hurdles) and the Shuttle Hurdle Relay Team of Leah Kostek, Katelyn Kostek, Kami Marks, and Lindsay Lettow.

 Four of the girls earned a trip to the State Tournament, with the Shuttle Hurdle Relay Team (Leah Kostek, Katelyn Kostek, Kami Marks, and Lindsay Lettow) finishing in 7^th place. Lindsay Lettow earned 2^nd place in the high jump and hurdles, along with 3^rd in the long jump.
