Mr. Town joined DMC as the Head of Middle School in July 2022. He has an incredible background in school leadership, and has devoted the majority of his career to middle school learners. He has diverse experiences in education and administration, from elementary to high school, both academically and athletically, and brings great insight to DMC's growing middle school culture. Mr. Town brings expertise and spiritual depth to DMC's leadership team.

"Middle School at DMC is a place where students learn not just about academics, but also about themselves. We positively support them as they grow spiritually, socially, and emotionally and provide the  environment to do so.

When I think about what I want our students to know as they move through Middle SchooI, it's most important that they know Jesus. I want students to know they are coming to a place where they have adults who love and care about them, and want to see their relationship with Jesus flourish.

Middle School is about balancing learning and fun. When we can marry the two, mission accomplished. Our House system provides a core structure for teambuilding, games, competitions and leadership opportunities. Ultimately, in everything we do, we want to  bring our focus back to our mission of equipping minds and nurturing hearts to impact the world for Christ. "

Mr. Town received his Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education at Northwestern College in Orange City and his Master of Arts in Education Leadership from Viterbo University. Mr. Town began his teaching career with Southeast Polk. He then spent 11 years in various leadership roles within Johnston Middle School. Most recently Mr. Town finished his sixth year as the Principal of Roland-Story Middle School.
