Advanced placement
Advanced Placement (AP) courses are offered in U.S. History, English Language, English Literature, and Calculus AB. AP is an open-enrollment program. During the 2006-07 school year, 47 students enrolled in AP courses; 29 students sat for 35 exams. Of the 35 exams taken 55% received scores of 3, 4 or 5.
Advanced Placement courses are weighted by one point for any student who passes the AP course. All credit classes are included in computing grade point average and class rank. Grades are recorded on the transcript, and class rank and grade point average are computed in January and June.
