Varsity Girls

Michael has been a part of the DMC family since 2005 as a junior high Social Studies teacher.  During that time, he spent 6 years with the boys' basketball team as an assistant coach before moving over to the girls' team in 2011 as an assistant coach.  In 2012, he begins his first year as head girl's basketball coach.  Michael and his wife, Sandy, have two sons, Lincoln and Tyler and look forward to the days when they will be able to attend DMC.  When he is not busy with teaching or coaching, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, watching NCAA basketball, traveling, and trying new restaurants.  A highlight of each year for him, is traveling to one of the NCAA tournament locations to watch college basketball during March Madness.

Varsity Boys

Coach Miller is entering his 3rd season at the helm of the boys' basketball program. During his two seasons at DMC the teams have compiled an overall record of 43-5, while each team has won the WCAC Conference title.  Coach Miller started coaching at the AAU level after graduating from Iowa State, where he played football and developed a love for coaching. His AAU teams had impressive seasons while competing against some of the best teams around the country. Many of his former players from the high school and AAU ranks have gone on to play basketball at the college level. Coach Miller is excited to be coaching young men on and off the court and looks forward to using the game of basketball to lead them closer to Jesus Christ.

Coach Miller owns a tournament hosting business called Iowa Gym Rats and cleaning company called A&M Cleaning . He and his wife, Jessica, have two little girls Malia(4) and Ava(2).
