DMC high school students stop in front of the largest monument at Shiloh. The monument is dedicated to all the Iowans who fought and died at Shiloh. Iowans provided most of the men at Shiloh and some of them saw their first action and then death at the battle.

Students are working on drills and commands they would hear as if going into battle at the Battle of Stones River in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Checking out a Confederate cannon that was used
to shoot at Northern ships in the Tennessee River
at Fort Donelson. The cannon could fire all the way
to where the river bends and kept the ships useless.
