My name is Karla Lowe and I am the principal of Des Moines Christian Elementary School. I am passionate about honoring the Lord, caring for my family and helping children feel valued and successful in a Christian school setting. I love the fact that our students are receiving an excellent education from the perspective of a Christian worldview. When the Lord is infused into the curriculum and allowed to be part of a child's day, he or she begins to grow and change in remarkable ways!
I am pleased to share with you the outstanding program we provide at Des Moines Christian School. The elementary school serves children in Kindergarten through sixth grade. We provide an excellent academic program that is challenging, yet developmentally appropriate. We encourage students to be inquisitive and "think" outside the box. We believe that "how" children learn is as important as "what" they learn. We know that the process of learning is vital to developing critical thinkers and problem solvers.
I am blessed to work with a talented and dedicated group of people who love the Lord and excel at their jobs. The teachers at DMCS are committed and supportive educators who continually search for ways to uncover God's unique design in each child. We realize that God has created us in many different ways and has given all of us special talents and gifts. We are individuals! The teachers prayerfully seek the Lord's wisdom as they work with their children each day.
It brings me great JOY to see children thrive at Des Moines Christian School. I believe that children should love to learn and be given many opportunities to feel successful. For this reason, it is our desire to create a wonderful experience for each child who walks through our doors.
