What do I do if my child needs medicine while at school?
In order for the Early Education to give medication, the prescription must be in the original prescription bottle.
Non-prescription medications are acceptable only if the doctor attaches a prescription to the original container. The parent must fill out the form (one for each medication) in the medicine log located in the office.
What do I do if my child will be absent from school?
Please call the DMCS Early Education office at 252-2482 before 8:30 A.M. and let us know that your child will not be in attendance due to illness or other reasons.
How do I receive receipts and statement information?
You may view your account online and print statements by going to the net classroom tab on the main page of our website.
Please contact the DMCS Early Education office to obtain a user id and password. Questions regarding billing should be directed to the Business Office at 252-2494.
Where do I get information about school closings?
Closing of DMCS due to inclement weather will be announced on the following stations any time after 6:00 A.M. If DMCS is closed, Early Education is automatically closed.
Should the decision be made to dismiss classes early, we will notify parents via the school's website (www.dmcs.org) and social media sites (facebook.com/DesMoinesChristianSchool and twitter.com/dmcs_updates).

If DMCS is closed due to inclement weather, Early Education is closed and the fee is not reduced.
What are your hours of operation?
I understand Des Moines Christian Early Education is in operation five days per week exclusive of holidays from 7:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M.. Children remaining at the center after 6:00 P.M. will be charged a fee. If there are more than three occurences of late pickup, DMC reserves the right to terminate the contract.
The center will not be open for the following paid days:
New Years Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
What about vacations?
DMCS Early Education will be closed one week between Christmas and New Years Day (not billed to you). All full time child care parents are allowed to have one additional week out of the center for vacation at no cost. This must be taken Monday through Friday in the same week. Any additional time absent will be charged at contract rates.
What do I do if any of my personal information changes?
Please notify Des Moines Christian School Early Education IMMEDIATELY of any change in address, jobs, phone numbers, email address, marital status, or desire to withdraw the child for any reason, etc. A two week written notice of withdrawal must be given to the Director. If a two week written notice is not given, the parents will be required to pay for the additional time.
