My passion is meeting the needs of young children academically, spiritually, physcically, and emotionally.
This grew out of the role model my mother set as a teacher while I was growing up. My experience spans over 20 years of teaching K-2nd grade, 12 of these year at Des Moines Christian School. My husband of 29 years and I are empty nesters. Our daughter is married to a wonderful Christian man blessing us with our first grandchild last March. Kacie is in her last year of a PHD program in Genetic research at the University of Iowa. Our son Steven, lives in Chandler, Arizona where he started his career in the business field after completing college.
I have a BA in elementary education with a specialty in Social Studies along with a Kindergarten endorsement from Bethel College, a Christian school in St. Paul, Minnesota. I have 25 graduate credits in addition to my degree. I am licensed by the State of Iowa as well as ACSI (Association of Christian Schools).
I was very blessed to grow up in a Christian home. My life was centered around God's word . I had an understanding at a very young age that I needed to have a personal relationship with the Lord. I accepted Christ into my life at Bible School after my pastor emphasized that I was a sinner and needed to repent of my sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. My life verse is Romans 8:28
