Mrs. Wilson First Grade Teacher

It is my privilege to have taught first grade students for almost 40 years now in both public and private school. The past 25 years have been here at Des Moines Christian. My husband Gary and I have three adult children who graduated from DMCS and four, very cute grandchildren. My job description is very broad and covers many aspects of curriculum. Most importantly ,I try to help children learn about God, the world He made, and how to treat others fairly and respectfully.
I attended Cedarville University and graduated with a B.S. in Education from Drake University in 1969. I received my M.A. in Education from Viterbo University in Wisconsin. I hold a Master Educator's License from the State of Iowa and Professional Lifetime certication from Association of Christian Schools International.
I realized that I was a sinner at the age of six and was led to the Lord by my Grandmother following a church service and baptized shortly thereafter. My family and I are long-time members of Capitol City Baptist Church in Des Moines, Iowa. My life verse is found in Ps. 71:18.
