The PRAISE and PRAYER list for this week:

• Praise God for the positive reports during the Spring Association Meeting on Tuesday, April 29!
• Praise God for the work of the retiring DMC Board members – Doug Cappel, Todd Goeldner, Todd Toulouse, and Mary Jo Ytzen!
• Praise God for Association members who were willing to run and be elected to the DMC Board, 2008-2011 – Steve Hocker, Jody Wohlenhaus, and Kristi Wohlwend!
• Pray for discernment by the Board to determine the best method by which to approach the 1 Board opening for the 2008-2009 school year.
• Pray that Dr. Bob and others will be able to prepare effective orientation and training for the new Board members, so they begin their work effectively in July.
• Praise God for the kindergarten teachers, students, and parents who did such an outstanding job of presenting the Jonah play during Elementary Chapel on April 30^th!
• Praise God for the positive message presented by Dean Sykes during Secondary Chapel on April 30^th!
• Pray that students, parents, and staff members will come alongside those students who indicated the need for support, encouragement, and discipling during Secondary Chapel on April 30^th.
• Praise God for the kindergarten teachers for their excellent work with hosting prospective families on Kindergarten Experience Days (May 1-2). 
• Praise God for the superb showing of Gary White, the junior high marching band, and senior high marching band at the Tulip Time parade! 
• Praise God for Mr. White and the instrumental music program’s showing at IHSMA Large Group Festival on May 3.
• Praise God for Karen Kehoe, Chris Barry, and the DMC art students for their work, set-up, and tremendous witness through art during the Art Show on May 5!
• Pray for Karen Kehoe, as she transitions from full-time work at DMC to her new ventures during the 2008-2009 school year. 
• Praise God for the staff who labor so faithfully at DMC!
• Pray that Teacher Appreciation Day will be a sweet time of celebration for the teachers at DMC.
• Pray for the wisdom and discernment of students who will be taking Advanced Placement tests in the next two weeks.
• Pray for the seniors as they conclude their K-12 experience with God-honoring finals, open houses, senior awards, the class trip, and graduation. 
• Pray for the track and field and soccer athletes who will be concluding their spring seasons in the next couple weeks.
• Praise God for the opportunities of DMC junior high school students and parent chaperones to experience a Christ-centered Washington, D.C. experience over the weekend of May 2-5!
• Pray that the learning of the Washington, D.C. trip takes deep root.
• Pray for godly follow-up to any decision-making at the DMC Board meeting on May 5. 
• Praise God for Tom Kehoe’s father’s life!  (Tom is the husband of Secondary Art Instructor Karen Kehoe; Tom’s father died on May 3.)
• Pray for Ken, Nancy, Troy, Ian, and Emma Anderson – as Ken hopes to begin his cancer treatment on May 7.
• Continue to pray for Laurie Butler – for successful cancer treatment.
