PTF
The purpose of PTF is to serve and support the teachers, students, staff and parents of Des Moines Christian School. All school families are members of PTF -- we welcome you!
Some of our activities include:
1. Recognition and appreciation of our teachers and staff through meals, cards and gifts.
2. Organizing student programs and events:
- Summer Reading Program
- The Big Blue Bash Carnival
- Classroom parties hosted by our Awesome Homeroom Parents
3. Fundraising such as our “Magazine Sale” which starts at the beginning of each school year. This fundraiser provides our school with the opportunity to purchase items such as equipment and other needs for our school. This past year, we were able to purchase a TV monitor in the main entrance for announcements and reminders for our DMC families. We also added a few special touches to the secondary library. We replaced several office equipment items such as a new shredder and laminator. A new climbing wall panel was purchased for the gym and blinds were installed to the windows along the north end of the building. We will continue to contribute to the Emergency Tuition Fund as a blessing to our families in financial need.
4. Collecting Box Tops. Our school received over $4,000 last year thanks to the great efforts of our parents and students.
