Message from our Principal

Thank you for your interest in Des Moines Christian School High School.  As the principal of grades 9-12, it is a pleasure to partner with parents during these pivotal years in a student's academic, emotional, and spiritual development.  Our teachers and staff are dedicated to building relationships with students to provide a rigorous academic experience within a supportive, Christ-centered environment.

The framework for our academic program is educational excellence; therefore, DMCS employs traditional curriculum objectives with innovative instruction.  As students mature, they are supported in their growth toward independence and provided engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences.  Teachers recognize the unique phase of growth and development from Middle School to high school and seek to provide a relational, supportive experience as students mature to be college ready.  Our program includes both Advanced Placement courses as well as Dual Credit courses, which can earn students college credit while still in high school.

The Lord has faithfully provided qualified, caring staff dedicated to the mission of Des Moines Christian School to equip minds and nurture hearts to impact the world for Christ.  The teachers and staff of the Middle School and high school department engage in professional growth through learning communities focused on improving classroom practices.  Our staff is highly collaborative and recognizes this task of Christ-centered education cannot occur without the support - both professionally and spiritually - of colleagues dedicated to the same calling.

I consider it pure joy to offer parents and students in the Des Moines area the opportunity to become college and career ready while instilling a biblical worldview.  I look forward to you joining us in this task for such a time as this.
