Welcome Home High School

Explore and Learn

DMC is committed to nurturing God-given gifts by creating an environment where students can explore, learn, and thrive. Our philosophy of education is to thoughtfully approach all our practices, in and out of the classroom, in a way that allows the Holy Spirit the greatest freedom to change the hearts of our students. We focus on the formation of the whole child—heart, soul, and mind—ultimately fulfilling the command Jesus places before us in Matthew 22, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”

The new high school building is purposefully designed around students’ developmental needs, empowering them to engage deeply, collaborate meaningfully, and grow both academically and spiritually. Here students are inspired to become confident leaders and faithful stewards of their abilities.

Building Features

Purposefully designed spaces that support the formation of the whole student—heart, soul, and mind. Additional features include innovative learning environments, wellness center, generous parking, and sophisticated safety and security.

HeBrews Coffee Shop

Our student-led HeBrews coffee shop was established in 2025 and today serves customers cold beverages from a coffee cart located in the high school.  Many of our graduates will lead or own their own business someday.  HeBrews represents our school’s commitment to hands-on learning and gives students a real business to learn how to lead, care for customers, generate profits, and give back to our community by tithing. The new space allows us to expand our business model and our menu.

Entrance
Students and guests will enter into a large great room, a space flooded with natural light.  The glass provides a clear view of purposefully designed outdoor learning spaces, outdoor dining, the pond, and our new early education center. The kitchen, wellness center, and gymnasium are located near the entrance.

Gymnasium/Activities Center
The competition gymnasium features a college-sized basketball court and expanded bleacher seating for up to 2,000 fans, creating an exciting atmosphere for games and school events. Equipped with a high-quality sound system and enhanced spectator seating, the space is designed to elevate the experience for athletes and fans alike while serving as a premier venue for competitions, pep rallies, and community gatherings.
Student Support Services
Our new high school will feature dedicated space for academic support services, providing students with personalized assistance to strengthen their skills and build confidence. By creating an intentional environment for tutoring, mentoring, and focused instruction, we are ensuring every student has the support they need to reach their full potential.
Additional College and Career Resources
The strategic plan provides expanded resources and structured support for college and career counselors, equipping them to guide students through a comprehensive and personalized planning process. DMC envisions a tailored experience for each high school student, beginning with early exploration of interests, strengths, and God-given gifts, and progressing toward intentional decision-making about future pathways. Through one-on-one advising, career assessments, and partnerships with local organizations, students will have opportunities to engage in electives, internships, and real-world experiences that align with their developing sense of calling. This approach aims to increase student clarity, confidence, and readiness for life beyond high school.

Outdoor Spaces
Dedicated outdoor learning spaces are intentionally designed to extend the classroom beyond traditional walls, creating dynamic environments for exploration, collaboration, and reflection. By preserving the existing pond and surrounding natural areas, DMC provides a distinctive setting where students can engage in hands-on learning, scientific observation, and meaningful outdoor instruction.

These spaces are more than classrooms—they are places where students learn, gather, share meals, and build community. Whether working in small groups, participating in outdoor lessons, or connecting with peers, students will develop relationships and experiences that shape both their education and their sense of belonging.

Expanded Program and Activity Offerings
Guided by our Christian teaching principles, we are expanding opportunities through new athletic offerings like wrestling and innovative electives in the trades, computer engineering, culinary arts, and entrepreneurship.
Great Room & Cafeteria

Students and guests will enter into a large great room, a space flooded with natural light.

The thoughtfully designed cafeteria allows for two lunch periods, which will give students more access to take electives. With both comfortable indoor seating and inviting outdoor dining areas, students will have flexible options to relax, connect, and recharge throughout the day.
