Student Services

Each student is created with a unique set of gifts, abilities, and needs as a learner.  Middle School Student Services are here to enhance gifts and abilities as well as partner with teachers to meet the needs of individual learners.

Extended Learning Program (ELP)
ELP provides additional academic challenges for qualifying students beyond what is available in the regular classroom. Students in grades 7-8 may pursue single subject acceleration, available in collaboration with our high school academic programs. The ELP facilitator and school counselor serve as advocates for gifted students and assist them in identifying and securing appropriate coursework.

The Resource program provides assistance for learners who need academic accommodations or additional support with study skills. The resource teacher works with students to:

  • identify homework and missing work to be completed
  • provide one-on-one or small group help with course content
  • develop social skills for academic work and school life
  • establish executive functioning strategies and planning sessions
  • communicate with teachers and parents for outstanding or difficult work
The Middle School Counseling Program works closely with faculty, staff, and students to plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive developmental guidance and counseling program. The program assists each student through their academic, spiritual, career, personal, and social development. We strive to nurture an environment where our students may flourish as servant-hearted leaders, critical thinkers, effective communicators, accomplished learners, and passionate apprentices of Christ.
