This event is for parents, grandparents, and community members. Please RSVP here.
Christ-Led Parenting
There's no such thing as perfect parents or perfect kids and we recognize parenting can be hard! Join Ms. Steen, elementary counselor, to explore parenting grounded in Biblical truth and viewing children as God's unique creations. Explore ways to nurture your children with love, discipline, grace, and to reflect God’s character. We will discuss ways to ask Christ to lead us as parents while we patiently respond to challenges and model faith, hope, and love in everyday life.
Anxiety and Depression, Help!
In an era where our children face unprecedented emotional pressure, this session offers a biblical framework for understanding mental health without the burden of shame. Mental health struggles are not a sign of weak faith, but a part of the human experience in a broken world. The goal is to equip parents with both scriptural truth and holistic strategies, including when to seek professional Christian counseling and ensuring your child feels supported by their family, school, and their Heavenly Father.
Parenting Children in a Technology-Saturated World
God designed us with 5 core needs – security, identity, belonging, purpose, and competence. In our brokenness, we can try to use the abundance of technology we have at our fingertips to fulfill these needs, and so can our kids. How do we help our children navigate the opportunities and challenges that arise with the use of technology in a way that honors and glorifies God and leads to redemptive, healthy flourishing in their lives? Come to this session to be encouraged and equipped in your pivotal role as a parent in your children’s digital lives.
Building Meaningful Friendships
God created us for community and connection - to be in relationships with Him and one another. We know that the relationships and friendships our kids form will play a part in shaping who they become. This session equips parents to help students navigate friendships across different seasons of life. Join us as we explore the skills needed to build healthy relationships that ultimately strengthen our walk with God.
