Early Education Admissions Process

Step 1: Complete an Inquiry

Tell us more about your student and family by completing an Inquiry for every student in your family.  Your child’s full name and actual date of birth (not a future date) are needed to accept your inquiry. While inquiries are accepted at any time, our early education program follows the school-year calendar and new students begin in August. 

The inquiry asks which school year you are requesting.

  • For Childcare 2, students must be 2 on or before September 15

  • For Childcare 3 and Preschool 3, students must be 3 on or before September 15

  • For Childcare 4, Pre-Kindergarten. and Junior Kindergarten, students must be 4 on or before September 15.

Completing an inquiry places your student in the wait pool, it does not guarantee enrollment. A number of factors impact placement in the wait pool including, but not limited to, date of inquiry, sibling of an enrolled student, children of full-time staff members, and children of alumni. Our Admissions office will follow up once your inquiry is received.

Step 2: Visit our new Early Education Center  

Please contact our admissions team if you are interested in touring our new early education center. 

Step 3: Apply to DMC 

The admissions process begins in September 2026 for the 27/28 school year. Families who have submitted an inquiry for their child will be contacted by the Admissions office by email and given access to the parent portal (Lion Campus) to begin the process for the 27/28 school year. 

Families who are invited to apply will complete a checklist that includes the written application, birth certificate, agreement with our Admissions Criteria, and a nonrefundable application fee.

Step 4: Interview 

Our early education leaders look forward to meeting with parents during the interview process. During this 30 to 60 minute interview, we hope to learn more about your family, assess if DMC can meet the learning needs of your child, and answer your questions.  

Step 5: Enroll

Contracts are offered to students who meet all of our Admissions Criteria. The number of openings available each year varies by age and program.

Step 6: Welcome to DMC!

We are excited to connect you with the DMC community! You will receive invitations to new family events and school activities so you can connect with other DMC families.   You are officially Lions and we look forward to many years of making memories with you.
