Based on Patricia MacLachlan’s beloved Newbery Medal–winning book, the play follows Sarah, a woman from Maine who answers a Kansas widower’s newspaper advertisement seeking a wife. As she gets to know Jacob and his children, Anna and Caleb, a hopeful question emerges: Will Sarah stay? Filled with gentle humor and touching moments, this timeless story explores the courage it takes to open our hearts and find a place to call home.
