DMC Announces Director of Spiritual Life

Will Weaver will join DMC as our Director of Spiritual Life, beginning in the 23-24 school year. Mr. Weaver’s experience spans more than 15 years in Christian education and leadership, discipling students in the classroom and in the church.
He currently holds the following positions at Legacy Christian Academy in Frisco, Texas: History/Theology Teacher, LEAD Legacy Director, Bible Department Chair and Biblical Worldview Co-Coordinator. In addition, Mr. Weaver is an ordained minister, receiving his Master of Divinity from Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary and has served as a full-time student pastor.
Our Head of School Cade Lambert says, “DMC is committed to the spiritual formation of all students, which led us to invest in a dedicated Director of Spiritual Life. Mr. Weaver has experience teaching Bible class. He also comes to DMC with experience in a pre-K-12th grade setting, and from a Christian school that DMC holds in high regard.”
Mr. Weaver will build cohesiveness from Early Education through High School and be intentional in coming alongside our instructors to teach from a Biblical worldview. The three core responsibilities of the position include spiritual and instructional leadership, community focus, and administrative leadership.
“My passion is discipleship, which takes many forms in a Christian school,” Mr. Weaver says. “I'm blessed to have this opportunity to come alongside DMC faculty and parents to be as effective as possible in our God-given call to teach, and I'm looking forward to building deep relationships at DMC.”
Mr. Weaver and his wife Traci have been married for 16 years, and have been serving in Christian ministry that entire time, vocationally at several churches and simultaneously in Christian education for the last 11 years. The Weavers have two sons, Ollie (age 9) and Watson (age 4). In addition to his focus on faith and family, Mr. Weaver describes himself as a bookworm, and is currently reading The Hobbit with his son Ollie. He says his family is excited to be “going on an adventure” together!
