DMC Cheer Takes First Place at State

Congratulations to the DMC cheerleaders on being named the 2020 Class 2A State Champions! The competition took place virtually, with teams sending in routines in three different categories. DMC placed first in each of the three categories (time out, fight song and band chant) and first overall, bringing home DMC's 13th Cheerleading State title.

Cheer Coach Sarah Shetler said, “Their efforts outside of cheering for football and basketball to put the competition routines together are huge, and we are so proud of their hard work!”

Additionally, Chloe Crandell (’21) was named to the All State Cheerleading squad. Cheerleaders were judged on their motions, jumps, dance ability, and gymnastics. Crandell is one of 33 cheerleaders selected for the All State squad this year.
