Des Moines Christian School Announces Plans for New High School April 22, 2026 Des Moines Christian School is announcing details about its new high school campus and the Build Today | Plan for Tomorrow campaign, a long-term initiative that will guide the full development of the 104 acres the school purchased in 2024. Located approximately one mile north of the school’s current location (13007 Douglas Parkway in Urbandale), the new high school and campus sit between Meredith Drive and Aurora north to south, and 128th Street and 142nd Street east to west. A generous donor with a passion for Christian education provided a $7M lead gift which allowed DMC to purchase the property debt-free. Head of School Cade Lambert says, “Build Today | Plan for Tomorrow is a multi-year campaign that will benefit every student while establishing a bold vision for the future. Today we have the opportunity and responsibility to expand our impact for generations to come. This plan allows for continued growth in high school enrollment and creates additional capacity for elementary and middle school programs. We remain committed to our biblical worldview and mission to equip minds and nurture hearts to impact the world for Christ.” Upon launching the $65M campaign, DMC shared that $45M (or 70%) has already been raised and the school continues to raise funds for the remaining amount. Construction of the 136,000 square foot building is underway, with a focus on collaborative spaces, plentiful natural light, and outdoor learning. This building is the first project on the DMC high school campus, and part of a master site plan that will include additional academic, athletics, fine arts, and worship spaces in the years ahead.
